Jeremy Jacobs Missing

Well this is my first post since Black Friday. I have stayed away in disgust over what we witnessed. What amazes me beside the monumental collapse is the lack of response from ownership. If this was any of the other Boston sports teams we would've heard from the owners on tv, radio and internet. They would've had their answers to what happened and what their respective franchises will do for the future. Not the Bruins. Our ownership only cares about the bottom line the almighty dollar. Even when the salary cap came into play we figured he'd have to start spending and he did. But that being said where the hell is he???

The other 3 ownerships can be seen attending games and talking to the media. JJ spends his time counting his cash in another state.  35 years of ownership and zero cups. Proof that the man simple doesn't care. I know Bruins fans will be saying "Tell me something we don't already know". There is nothing else to know other than the one team that we love doesn't even have an owner who can give 2 shits about their success.

So here is my little tribute to JJ.

Time to put up or shut up for the Bruins

It's come to this, after blowing a 3-0 series lead the Bruins look to take game 7 and move on to face the Habs. Tonight we'll see if the Bruins can do what they've done when their backs are against the wall, come out and execute and win or become the 3rd team in the history of the NHL to lose 4 straight after having a 3-0 series lead. If they blow it, it will be a monumental choke job that will haunt this franchise forever.

It's crucial the Bruins get the first goal tonight, not just for the fact that history shows the team that scores the first goal in a game 7 usually goes on to win, but just to keep the fans in the game. If the Flyers score the first goal, the garden will fall silent and the thoughts of the B's making tee times tomorrow will be creeping through the minds of everyone on the bench and in the stands.

The Blake Wheeler experiment hopefully will payoff tonight. Wheeler will be on the first line with Recchi and Bergeron. Maybe this will jumpstart his game. Other than the tip in goal he's scored he's done pretty much nothing except getting his usual offsides call. If that line doesn't generate scoring chances in the first period I hope Coach Claude will switch that line up and move Ryder or somebody there that can finish. Not that Ryder has played well either but something has to be done to get this team to score goals.

Simple solution for tonight:

1. GET BODIES IN FRONT OF LEIGHTON

2. GET SHOTS ON NET

3. STAY OUT OF THE PENALTY BOX

4. FORECHECK FORECHECK FORECHECK

One more thing, stop back passing in our zone. If I see Hunwick back pass the puck behind the net 4 times before the Bruins get the puck out of the zone I'm gonna go nuts. The Flyers know that we back pass all the time and they have a forward just on the boards waiting for it. We do the same in the offensive zone especially on the powerplay. Change it up!! I would love to see Chara in front of the net on the Powerplay. Let Leighton try and see around him.

Well there is nothing else to say other than I will keep all breakable and throwable things away from me while the game is on. I don't need to relive the shattered remote control day thanks to Bill Buckner.

Let's Go B's don't make history for the wrong reason tonight!

Will the Playoff Boston Bruins Show up for game 6?

After the lack luster game 5. I was left wondering where the hell the Bruins who played all out against Buffalo went? Game 5 reminded me of the stink bomb they played against Pittsburgh the first meeting after the Cooke hit on Savard. It was that bad. They looked slow and had not passion. This is the playoffs not the regular season and we know how they played during the regular season.

So who shows up tonight? The Bruins that have won over the fans with their all out play or the turtles that showed up in game 5?

I hope this image isn't an omen for tonight.

Boston Bruins Look To Sweep Philadelphia

The beat up Bruins look to close out the series over the Flyers tonight. With the loss of Marco Sturm, David Krecji and Adam McQuaid, the B's will need call ups to help them close it out.

Here's the lines that were out at this mornings practice (courtesy of Fluto Shinzawa  @boston.com)

Daniel Paille / Patrice Bergeron / Mark Recchi

Milan Lucic / Marc Savard / Miroslav Satan

Blake Wheeler / Vladimir Sobotka / Michael Ryder

Steve Begin / Trent Whitfield / Brad Marchand

Zdeno Chara / Johnny Boychuk

Matt Hunwick / Dennis Wideman

Mark Stuart / Andrew Ference

Tuukka Rask

Shawn Thornton was not on the ice but Coach Claude says he will play in tonight's game. Which will most likely send Marchand to the press box. Whitfield has more experience. Mark Stuart has been medically cleared and looks to make his post season debut. Which is good we need his crazy ass in the line up.

The Flyers are looking for a bump in their lineup with the possible return of Simon Gagne. He is a game time decision.

Looking at Bruins lineup they are going to have to really dig to fill the loss of Krecji. He was our biggest puck possession forward. His ability to take the puck into the zone and get it down low is something the Bruins will need to fill. Dump and chase simply hasn't worked against the flyers, especially on the power play.

Let's hope Sobotka can regain his form from the Buffalo series and hit everything that moves. His play this series has dropped off from the moment he went crashing into the post. I'm sure he's probably banged up like the rest of this team.

Time to rally around Tuukka Time and Miro the Hero for hopefully one more game then some rest for these guys. Then we can go back to rooting for Montreal. I never thought the day would come when I would be rooting for Montreal in 2 series in the playoffs. I feel nauseous just typing that.

Go Bruins! Game time 7pm on Versus.

David Krejci out for the season with a broken wrist

Reports out that David Krecji suffered a broken wrist on an open ice hit by Richards.

This is a devastating blow to the Bruins who will lose their #2 center. Krejci has been their most consistant puck possesion man in the post season. He was missed in game 3 as the Flyers controlled most of the game with the B's unable to have any real sustained pressure in the offensive zone.

Update to follow as to who the Bruins will call up to fill Krejci's spot.
